MoneySense magazine ran a story on top money tips from leading personal finance experts back in June 2004. The story, also published online, is worth checking out.
There are the usual tips about spend less than you make, invest for the long-term, diversify your portfolio, control costs, don’t chase performance etc.
Some of the tips are out-of-the-box, but are definitely connected to finance when we think about it. For example:
- Love your job - or leave it.
- Take care of your health. If you don’t, money won’t matter.
- Know your Spouse.
