		<description>Tom: I would have preferred a straightforward income tax-cut rather than the convoluted mish-mash of tax cuts that was delivered in the budget. But the Tories did run on a platform of 1% cut to the GST and Canadians narrowly elected them. But I am happy to see that most of us (unless you are self-employed) get to keep most of the current tax-cuts (which the Tories said they would get rid of).</description>
