		<description>Hi Mike, I have heard from some experts that this is usually only warranted for gifts of $250,000+, but I&#039;ve never heard a good reason as to why they picked such a large amount.

Rather, I think it is something that you have to discuss with the charity you are planning on leaving the gift to. They will normally have some philanthropic advisors that help them facilitate such strategies and my guess is that they would be happy to receive any amount, and more than happy to discuss it with you.

Also, the older you are, the more the present value of the gift will be for claiming the eligible donation amount.</description>

Is this something you can do with a small amount of money?  or is it something you should wait until retirement to think about doing?
