Matt: Thanks for pointing it out. I find it silly that yahoo.ca shows dividend information but yahoo.com shows N/A. C'mon Yahoo! Surely this can be fixed.

Hey Oxcc...

If you want dividend information for those CDN Stocks (RY BMO BNS etc...) you can go to Yahoo's CDN site www.yahoo.com and go to the Finance Page and type in RY and it shows the Dividend and Yield...

One of the features I like is that you can look at a price chart and there are links along the chart that you can click on to get info on the news event that occurred at that time. Lets you see what happened where you see sudden drops/climbs on a price chart.

Anyone know how to get an ETF like XIU? I tried tsx:xiu but it doesn't work.

What about mutual funds?

BTW, how is yahoo's support for Canadian mutual funds? Last time I checked they didn't support them.

Tom: Good point. But you can bet that Yahoo! is trying to match all the new cool features (kinda like they matched the 1GB email box when GMail was announced).

James: Thanks for pointing it out. I didn't try to set up a portfolio. And 10-year charts and dividend information would be nice. But Yahoo! only has 5-day charts for many securities, so Google is an improvement!

I just tried to set up a portfolio and all I get is a "we will support international equities soon" warning.
What is the point of making Caniadian data available abut not allowing a simple portfolio to be set up with Canadian stocks.
I would think with all the bags of cash Google is taking in these days they could launch something that is reasonably set up to do things.
I'm also dissapointed that you can't get data over five years old. I want ten year charts darn it!

I just did a little more playing around with Google and it turns out you don't need an account to look at things. I have to say I am pretty impressed and I really hope this gets Yahoo motivated to make some changes.

At a first glance I couldn't find dividend information on any stocks, let alone Canadian stocks.
