2Q-2006 Report Card

July 3rd, 2006 · 1 Comment

The Sleepy Portfolio, a well-diversified portfolio that I use for benchmarking my returns had a rough quarter, falling 4.27% from the previous quarter. Every single asset class (bonds, equities across all geographies and REITs) finished down for the quarter.

According to MS Money, our personal portfolios did not fare too well either, sliding down 7.4% during the same period. The big losers were AGF Management (TSX: AGF.B, down 18%), Home Depot (HD, down 16%), E*Trade (ET, down 15%), TD Bank (TSX: TD, down 13%) and AIG Group (AIG, down 10%). Altria Group (MO, up 2%) and Anheuser-Bush (BUD, up 6%) fell into the winners’ column.
