Recently, we bought a cooking range that cost us in total $1,171.85. The appliance store delivered and took away the rusty old range for free. They also gave us a four-month price guarantee. Just the other day, while running some errands, I decided to drop into the nearby appliance store and check the price again. To my immense delight, the range was on a “Special Sale” for $899.99 plus taxes. I mentioned my recent purchase to the nice sales lady and 15 minutes later, got a refund of about $135.
Moral of the story: It pays to check the price of recent big-ticket purchases. It might just be your lucky day!

Heck, we bought a box of diapers Friday for $43 and they were on sale Saturday for $38? Did I go and get the difference back? HELL YES!
I don’t care how “small” it seems, it is ALWAYS the principle (but when it is a big sum of cash, that’s even better!).
Spread the good word, it’s not being CHEAP when it’s YOUR money!

Found you thru Eddielampert site. He was playin’ games with me last weekend on AOL in the Wis. M4M (man for man) chatroom. Has he done that with you. Guy is into some kinky weird stuff, but I don’t trust him.
I see on his blog he makes very disparaging comments about Canada…guy’s a freak.

Big Cajun: I agree. If I can get a refund, it is almost always worth my while. But $135 is definitely very nice
